Episode 2 of WM People podcast now out

In this episode of the WM People podcast, Ben Falk, editor of Working Dads and Working Mums editor Mandy Garner cover the WM Employer Awards, ill health and work and representation of parents on TV.

The WM People Top Employer Awards were last week so we start the episode discussing what winning employers are doing to improve diversity and inclusion, flexible working and mental health in the workplace.

Lloyds Banking Group won big, while Vistry Group, Birdie and J Murphy & Sons Ltd were amongst those doing excellent work.

Ill health plays a big part of people dropping out of work, both physical and mental, so we look at how the knock on effect of the pandemic impacted young people’s mental health and how workplaces can support them.

Lastly we discuss Maternal, the ITV drama about a mother returning to work at the NHS after maternity leave and how working parents are represented on TV.
