Content and Production

SKY STUDIOS ELSTREE
Set to open in 2022, the project represents a significant investment in the UK and European cultural economy. It is also expected that Sky Studios Elstree will become the most sustainable film & TV production site in the world.

The development represents a significant investment in the UK and European creative economy and will be made with the backing of Sky’s owner Comcast and in partnership with sister-company NBCUniversal.

Sky Studios Elstree will lead to the creation of over 2,000 jobs in the local area, including 900 during the construction phase and 1,500 once the studio is operational.

Wellbeing

We know that you might be finding it difficult to cope during the COVID-19 Pandemic and your mental health could be impacted as a result. As a reminder, Sky has a brilliant range of support options available for your mental and physical health which you can access at any time, any day.

These include:

Sky Support Services: Confidential support is freely available 24/7, 365 days a year for UK and Ireland employees.

Healthcare Plan: Once you join, you’ll have access to some great support services including our mental health pathway where you have access to a counsellor at short notice without having to visit your GP.

Online Digital GP: There is now access to virtual digital GP for all employees.

Blue Sky: Launched in April this year, Blue Sky is an initiative supporting all our people experiencing domestic abuse, whether you’re worried about your safety or concerned about your own behaviour. From providing emergency accommodation to offering counselling and support, we’re here to help.

Project Wellness: Part of Sky’s health and fitness services, Project Wellness is a series of events hosted by speakers from the medical and healthcare professions.
