Santander Consumer Finance (a standalone part of the Santander Group) is one of the UK’s leading motor finance companies providing finance to a network of dealerships throughout the United Kingdom.
This enables our customers throughout the country to have access to finance for the vehicles they need and desire. We work with over 1600 dealers across the UK and have around 400,000 cars on the road with finance at any one time – that’s a lot of windscreen wipers!
We have nearly 800 staff working for us either out of our Head Office in Redhill or as part of our sales teams across the country looking after the network of dealerships.
We have a very busy central operation that speaks with our customers daily throughout the year. Customers contact us with a range of queries; these could include what balance is left on their account, what to do if they’ve missed a payment, even sometimes if they’ve broken down. Our teams are split into specialist areas to deal with these queries effectively.
Other areas such as Risk and Underwriting look at the financial impact of lending money and ensure that the business is making the right decisions at all times.

The Big Build is an annual project that is our way of giving back to the local community, as well as an opportunity to learn new skills and meet new people. We work with 1 local charity to bring improvement to their services, in 2022 we worked with a local food bank and overhauled their allotment to help them grow more produce for the community.
As a Green Ambassador you will join a network of like-minded colleagues to collate and propose initiatives to help improve our environmental impact, inside and outside the office. You will become part of a working group to help plan and deliver these initiatives and encourage and motivate your colleagues to get involved in helping the environment.
