Job Title: Business Manager and Controller
Job Location: UK, Europe (remote)

We are looking for a skilled Business Manager and Controller to join our team.
Job Summary: The Business Manager and Controller (40-60% time) will be responsible for managing the financial health of our organization. This includes developing financial strategies, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, preparing financial reports, improving processes, managing all accounts payable and receivable, creating statements of work, and managing team members. The ideal candidate will have a background in finance or operations, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to lead a team effectively. German language proficiency is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the company’s goals.
- Oversee the preparation of monthly financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Manage accounts receivable. Ensure all company invoices are issued in a timely and efficient manner. Track payments received and follow-up with clients as needed.
- Manage accounts payable. Ensure suppliers are paid in a timely manner.
- Create budgets and statements of work for new projects.
- Manage budgeting and forecasting processes, providing accurate financial data to support decision-making
- Monitor and analyze monthly operating results.
- Oversee the financial audit process and liaise with external auditors.
- Manage and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Identify and implement cost-reduction and automation initiatives.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to the senior management team.
- Maintain strong relationships with financial institutions, accountant, bookkeeper, auditors, and vendors.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial management, accounting, or business operations
- Proficient in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Ability to work independently
- Strong leadership and collaboration skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Language: native English; proficiency in German is a plus
