Knight Frank’s Learning and Development team is looking to recruit an experienced Digital Learning Instructional Designer to build, design and implement digital learning across Knight Frank.

The Digital Learning Instructional Designer will work as an SME with the broader HR and L&D teams as well as KF stakeholders to design (content) and develop (technical build) a variety of digital learning materials (eLearnings, videos, animations, graphics, etc.) as well as implement digital elements and tools that support both the needs of our learners and the business.


In the Digital Learning Instructional Designer role you will be responsible for:

  • Conceptualize, design (content/information) and develop (technical build) digital learning content, courses, materials and learning journeys including activities, assignments, and assessments.
  • Conceptualize, design (content/information) and develop (technical build) digital learning and delivery experiences that ensure the effective delivery and impact of digital learning content.
  • Partner, own and manage the learning design (content/information) and development (technical build) on projects with SMEs and L&D as well as the Digital Learning Team for both standalone and supplemental digital content, resources and experiences in order to design/deliver impactful digital learning solutions across a broad spectrum of topics.
  • Pitch, teach, guide and influence SMEs and stakeholders to help them better understand ID and DL theory and best practices.
  • Function as project manager for training support materials from design/development through go-live.
  • Develop storyboards, instructor’s manuals, rubrics and other teaching tools.
  • Partner with the business to provide guidance on instructional design, content delivery, and user experience as well as recommend digital learning solutions/interventions.
  • Facilitate Focus Groups to ensure UX, design, delivery and approach are aligned to business/learner needs.
  • Collect and synthesize user/learner feedback and recommend solutions to enhance experiences and increase engagement.
  • Collect and synthesize data to measure resource/program impact and effectiveness, observe trends, and then drive the appropriate actions/improvements.
  • Research and recommend new, innovative approaches, techniques, tools and/or technologies propose ideas for application and/or execution for both the Digital Learning and broad L&D team.
  • Work with the Internal Comms Team to create internal learning campaigns for Digital Learning content/initiatives to increase awareness and engagement.
  • Partner with KF’s Production Team to see/understand where cross-over opportunities are available (content, collaboration, marketing, etc.)

Key Experience Required

The ideal Digital Learning Instructional Designer will have:

  • Experience of creating creative digital learning and storytelling through your learning
  • Instructional Design Knowledge (theory, best practise, trends, etc) and the ability to apply this knowledge.  This will include; adult learning theory, needs analysis, writing learning objectives, evaluating and analysing training impact, learning delivery knowledge, blended learning, experiential design, flipped classroom and ILT/VILT.
  • User Experience and Learning Experience
