The bank of the future wants you!

Lloyds Banking Group (LBG) is the UK's biggest Retail, Digital and Mobile bank. We help over 30 million customers - 19 million of them digitally.

Our mission is to be the best bank for customers. We're driving further modernisation and sustainable growth, backed by a £3bn investment plan.

As a Conversation Designer you'll need to move quickly…

As part of the core design team, you'll help shape the future digital bank - from the inside. Supported by exceptional Design colleagues, with their own strengths and bold viewpoints.

From day one you'll be making a positive impact on the lives of millions!

More than a writer (hence the title), you'll be a guide, a fount of knowledge and source of inspiration for some iconic financial brands, including Lloyds Bank, Halifax, Bank of Scotland and Scottish Widows.

You'll focus on the copy/tone of voice/brand personality of the virtual assistant conversations flowing through the mobile app to our group Insurance and Wealth customers.

At the same time, you'll play a critical part in delivering the Content Strategy that shapes our conversations, messaging and materials, in all formats, across all channels and brands.

Working with colleagues across the group, you'll identify insights and opportunities to refine existing content and develop more effective conversations for the benefit of every customer - and the business.

You'll get access to new data, conversational analysis and design tools and some very cool software

As a result, you'll help to shape and deliver projects of impressive scale - no small ask.

Together we'll make it possible...

What we expect:

Your A-game. Confidence, a customer-centric and truly collaborative attitude, plus bags of creativity.

You'll also:

  • Show proven UX/content design expertise.

  • Know and know how to grow our brands.

  • Speak like our customers.

  • Make decisions based on data - and help others to do the same.

  • Analyse sophisticated service/product proposals and develop/amend them at speed.

  • Stay focused on customer needs, while aligning with the purpose of the business.

  • Actively seek out and share design knowledge and best in market practice.

What you can expect

An invitation to make a real difference, within an inclusive, proudly diverse culture that wants you bring your best.

You'll also have the support and encouragement of colleagues with remarkable vast experience and the chance to work at the heart of a hugely influential organisation.

A healthy work-life balance is equal in importance to the achievements we deliver. So, we offer a range of hybrid working patterns and location flexibility. Let's see what works for you...

We're proud of our inclusive culture.

As a leading employer, we champion diversity and equal opportunity. We're recognised for our support of gender, ethnicity, disability, LGBTQ+, and families. We're committed to building an inclusive environment where colleagues are themselves and succeed on their merits.

You'll also get a package that includes:

Company

We’re creating an organisation that attracts, retains and develops the best talent in the industry, and one that openly embraces diversity too. But more than that – we want to be a great place to work. We invest in our people, offering the best training and coaching, and by encouraging them to contribute to our leading corporate and social responsibility practices. We offer flexible working hours and days, under our Work Options scheme. This means that you can have a challenging and rewarding career, and still have an ideal work/life balance.

Flexible working is at the heart of our strategy. We’re re-imagining where, when, and how our people work, with new approaches designed to meet the ever-changing needs of customers and colleagues. These include increasing our use of remote-working tools and technology, as well as placing less reliance on a 9-to-5 mindset. For many of our office-based colleagues, we work in hybrid ways which involves spending at least two days per week or 40% of their time at one of our office sites.
