Job Description

Primary role purpose:

Inmarsat leases out its satellite spectrum to customers who need complete ownership and control of their communication solutions. The leases operate over our satellite fleet and serve a wide range of uses, from keeping autonomous vehicles on track to enabling government agencies to protect lives wherever they may be operating in the world.

The Lease Delivery Manager is responsible for the smooth delivery of our Lease products from submission of a Lease request through to the end of the Lease contract.  Inmarsat authorised over 1,000 leases during 2021 and this figure is set to rise as we expand the capability of our lease products and broaden the markets we sell into.

You will ensure each lease request flows through the delivery process according to the Service Level Agreement (SLA) and you will track the performance of the Inmarsat teams interacting with the request to ensure the Key Performance Indicators (KPI) are met. If a request does not conform to the process, you will investigate and take action. You will have responsibility for the accuracy and consistency of the Lease database which acts as our single source of truth. Continuous improvement will be gained through your analysis and stakeholder collaboration.

You report directly to the Head of Lease Management.

Key Responsibilities

  • To check the validity of the submitted lease requests and verification of the content within the request
  • To monitor the progress of lease requests through the process and take action should a request deviate
  • To ensure the outputs of the process are delivered on-time to the relevant stakeholders
  • To investigate and resolve stakeholder queries
  • To uphold the accuracy and consistency of information entered on to the lease database
  • To produce reports on the state of the Lease Requests and the active Lease contracts
  • To provide training to stakeholders on the lease process and how they interact with it
  • To enhance the process in response to new lease products and improvement analysis

  • Strong record keeping and documentation skills, with an eye for accuracy and a desire for consistency
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills with the ability to influence others without having authority over them
  • Reporting on delivery of work to an SLA and measuring performance using KPI
  • Ability to work independently and take a logical approach to managing workflow

Desirable Knowledge and Skills:
