This vacancy is in the team that plans and produces best-in-class customer communications under the Scottish Widows brand for our life and pensions business.

You'll be part of our established Workplace Marketing Communications team, using your marketing expertise and partner management skills to manage and support the design and effective delivery of Workplace marketing campaigns and initiatives for Workplace Advisers, Employers and Employees of our workplace schemes.Delivery of bespoke marketing consultancy for our largest Workplace pension schemes, based on an established employee engagement programme.

Recognised as a key value-adding service and a defining part of our Workplace Pensions proposition, our simple but effective approach is to engage and educate employees to ensure they understand the benefit of their workplace pension and the importance of planning for the future. You'll work with our wider Marketing team, Distribution and Proposition colleagues, and creative agencies, to deliver our engagement suite of materials and communication programme, and provide recommendations within an area of expertise. You'll support to inspire change, ensuring that customer experience and performance data are the main driver of our decision making, enabling us to deliver outstanding and tailored customer communications.

Location & Ways of Working:

Our team is based in central Edinburgh, therefore you'll need to be based a commutable distance from our Edinburgh office. We work in a hybrid model, splitting our time between the office and working from home.

Some of the activities you'll be involved in are:

  • Creating and maintaining our employee engagement suite of marketing materials which help employers support their employees to plan their retirement savings and make the most of their workplace pension, and working with creative agencies to develop copy and creative.

  • Delivering our employer and employee communications plan across a variety of channels including social, email, web and video, to build brand loyalty and facilitate communication through to employees, and working with our digital agencies to develop an engaging always-on programme.

  • Effective measurement of all engagement activity and initiatives through robust KPI's and reporting to ensure client/business objectives are met.

  • Delivery of Workplace Marketing campaigns, projects and activities by following the approval process and operating within tight governance controls

  • Identifying key moments in Workplace customer journeys to build better experiences, whilst also focusing on creative excellence

  • Navigating a wide variety of existing processes, procedures and precedents to interpret data and identify possible solutions.

  • Establishing excellent working relationships with internal colleagues and external clients and agencies to ensure effective delivery of all employee, employer and adviser engagement activity

Skills & experience we're looking for:

Essential:

  • Passion and enthusiasm for doing the right thing for our customers with evidence to back this up

  • Good understanding of customer journeys and how to build effective workplace engagement campaigns and experiences

  • Experience of implementing a multi-channel approach, delivering a variety of marketing assets, including print, digital and film.

  • Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships

  • Self-motivated, ability to effectively prioritise and work to deadlines

  • Accurate, clear and concise communication (written and verbal)

  • Experience of reviewing and collating feedback on creative concept/artwork

  • Ability to collate and analyse data using pre-determined tools, methods and formats.

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Positive and proactive attitude

  • Reliable and organised

  • Collaborative teammate

 

Desirable:

  • Workplace Pensions communications experience

  • Copywriting experience

You'll have a supporting role within the Workplace Marketing Team, delivering the annual marketing plan that is making a positive difference for our Workplace customers, within an energising environment where you can work at pace, and make valuable contributions and improvements to the customer experience.
