Overview
 

The Digital Ad Operations team is looking for a dynamic digital media planner to develop and coordinate digital ad sales media campaigns across the Discovery Network International portfolio. The role entails the creation of media plans and the coordination with both central and local teams around the world. The Digital Media Planner will provide leadership and expertise in building media solutions to support the ad sales teams and to grow the global ad sales revenues. 

 

The Digital Ad Operations team sits within the Discovery International Ad Sales organization. The Digital Media Planner will be part of an international team made of talents located in different parts of the world, including Paris and London. 

 

To be successful as a digital media planner, you should have a deep knowledge of ad systems, digital media marketing and be able to translate a client's business objectives into a digital media strategy. You should also monitor trends in the digital media landscape and identify new digital opportunities for our clients, including social media. You will work closely with other internal teams, including Ad Sales, Revenue Management, and Brand Solutions, to deliver seamless, integrated media experiences.


Responsibilities
 

  • Support frontline sales teams and capture campaign requests
  • Develop integrated digital media strategies
  • Negotiate and coordinate with local teams to access ad inventory across the Discovery digital portfolio
  • Build integrated media plans and manage campaign budgets
  • Track offers out and manage inventory coordination 
  • Monitor market trends and identify new ad opportunities
  • Liaise with Revenue Management and Head of Digital Sales to execute sales guidelines and commercial strategy
  • Liaise with Ad Ops to book deals (central and local teams)


Qualifications
 

  • 3+ years work experience in digital ad sales
  • Deep knowledge of  Freewheel, GAM, Youtube
  • Experience with digital ad campaigns management
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Solutions driven
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Organizational and time management skills
  • Fluent in English, second language preferred (French, Spanish)
