Job Summary:

Loss Prevention Partners protect Partners, customers and secure assets through efficient effective risk management and effective communication within their designated shops. This includes loss or damage to stock, loss of cash, and non compliance to process.

Job Description:

What will you be doing?

You will be a member of the Profit Protection team and add value to the efficiency and profitability of John Lewis. 

● Mitigating the risk of malicious harm to Partners and Customers;

● Managing shrinkage performance within budget and risk appetite. 

You will play a key role in a John Lewis branch by investigating trends and reporting on key themes, thoroughly investigating shrinkage to protect our profit. You'll protect your fellow Partners and customers patrolling the shop floor to deter potential theft and monitor CCTV for signs of suspicious behaviour.

The role will address all aspects of Shrinkage, including, though not exclusive to, external and internal dishonesty, procedural failure, and administrative error within the John Lewis Partnership.

You will need to be confident and reassuring to be able to de-escalate conflict situations in the branch professionally

You will have to raise awareness of all aspects of shrinkage by supporting and coaching fellow Partners. 

Will I receive training?

You will receive full and comprehensive training in the first few weeks of starting in your new role. If you do not have previous experience in this role don’t worry we will provide all the training you need.

There are a number of permanent full time and part time opportunities available in the following locations:

Oxford Street

Peter Jones 

Kingston

Stratford 

White City 

Brent Cross

Required Essential Experience, Skills and Qualifications:

- Strong communication skills.

- Attention to detail/accuracy.

- Good customer service skills.

 

Desirable Experience, Skills and Qualification:

- Previous experience in a loss prevention role.

- Previous experience in a customer facing environment.


Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for the role is £22,600 - £30,100 per annum based on a full time 37.5 hour contract.

 

PLEASE NOTE  The salary stated will be pro-rated and adjusted if the hours required are not full time. (Full time hours of 37.5 hours per week.)

You’ll work on a rota basis for this role and will be required to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends
