We are looking to for a Supply Chain Coordinator to build strong, open and positive relationships with suppliers and providers which share our values, and to make them an integral part of our business.

Reporting to the Midlands Supply Chain Manager, you will assist with the management and development of our diverse supply chain that will be truly effective, competitive, and reliable to meet the changing needs of our business within the East Midlands. You will work in a agile way between our office in Nottingham, our sites and home to deliver the role effectively.

The key responsibilities are:

  • Understand the strategic plan to build and maintain a robust, sustainable, and competitive supply chain
  • Find, vet, and ensure capability of new supply chain members
  • Develop the best performing supply chain members through business categories to achieve a high proportion of Category "A" status companies
  • Understand efficiency and the need to drive out waste within the supply chain
  • Coordinate and administer supply chain Key Performance Indicators and execute feedback forms
  • Maintain the divisional supply chain database including collation of information covering CDM regulations
  • Promote supply chain awareness and strategic team initiatives throughout the business
  • Notification of manufacturers used to the central procurement team
  • Update and promote supply chain procedures and processes
  • Support and engage with Supply Chain at our events across the Midlands

Essential and Desirable Criteria

The Ideal candidate:

Essential

  • An understanding of supply chain philosophies and their use in construction
  • Come from a buying or procurement background
  • General knowledge of market costs, manufacturers, and sub-contractors.
  • Understanding the importance of the breakdown of subcontractor costs
  • Can engage and build relationships effective internally and externally
  • Valid driving license

Desired

  • Able to interact with the supply chain to obtain business objectives
  • Working towards Professional Membership of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply
  • Knowledge of the residential market
