Events Coordinator

We are looking for an experienced Events Coordinator to support the planning and delivery of real-world and online events.

You will be working for a charity established in 2013 that champion’s the use of effective early intervention to improve the lives of children and young people at risk of experiencing poor outcomes.

Position: Events Coordinator

Location: London and home-based

Salary: £31,318 - £32,966 per annum (Pro-rata)

Duration: Permanent

Hours: Part-time 21 hours/week; flexible working hours possible

Closing date: 10,00 am, 15 November 2021

Interviews: w/c 22 November 2021

About the role:

Events play an important role in supporting the charity’s research programme, communicating findings and recommendations to key audience groups and building strong relationships across the sector. As Events Coordinator at EIF you will be responsible for coordinating a range of client-side events focused on our key stakeholders and audiences, from roundtables, invitation-only workshops and webinars through to full-day conference and training events.

Key responsibilities include:

 

  • Event planning and delivery
  • Event budget management
  • Speaker and delegate management

 

About you:

As Events Coordinator you will need to be a real self-starter with the initiative, confidence and drive to deliver quality events for an amazing charity. You will be flexible in your approach and cooperative with a ‘can do’ approach as well as meticulous in planning and delivery of professional events.

You will need to bring with you the following essential skills and experience:

 

  • Experience of organising small to medium-size events
  • Experience in using virtual meeting and event platforms
  • Experience using online event booking systems (such as Eventbrite)
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage a varied workload
  • Excellent relationship-building and people skills
  • Excellent IT skills, including strong knowledge and experience of using MS Office

 

You will need to be willing to travel, using public transport as far as possible, as well as attending events and meetings in other parts of the UK. Some flexibility to work additional hours on occasion is also needed.
