ETS Networks have responsibility for the availability, development and change delivery for Lloyds Banking Group's network. This comprises over 15,000 network devices and provides the backbone of IT infrastructure used by all colleagues and customers of the group, with an estimated number of internal end user connections approaching 400,000. In terms of critical service, it has long been, and will remain crucial to the organisation.

 

Your accountabilities will include;

  • Providing advice on technical services and projects that meet business requirements and recommend technically sound, appropriate and cost-effective solutions.

  • Working closely with the value streams and the Groups design/Architect teams to identify and agree strategically and policy aligned designs that meet business requirements.

  • Identification and quantification of cost and benefits of technical work.

  • Support for and technical assurance of changes, either within the actual implementation or as part of the planning cycle.

  • Management of customer concerns and prioritizing for technical results.

  • Taking ownership for and provide technical services that will ensure the continued high availability of the Cloud platforms or External Services.

  • Assisting in the diagnosis, resolution and root cause analysis of issues by providing technical support. Driving and owning these activities as the need arises.

  • Ownership of problems and deliver the agreed actions within timescales.

  • Delivering effective management of technical risks to ensure prevention of business issues.

  • Collaborating with the Security & Design community to ensure solutions that are delivered provide a stable, cost effective service.

 

About you

You have proven knowledge of Network and Cloud infrastructure technologies coupled with a good knowledge of Data Networking and or Network Security Services (Cisco Network Devices and Cisco/Checkpoint Security devices (i.e. Firewalls).

Additionally you'll have a broad knowledge of technical Network infrastructure technologies; This includes providing support to peers/colleagues and driving through the technical approach in the team.

You'll be able to demonstrate a consistent track record of handling partners in a way that enables the business to gain maximum value, and the ability to handle service issues and identify root cause.

Additionally you'll have a consistent track record of leading external service suppliers in the provision of Data Network or Network Security solutions, validated ability in judgement and decision making, experience of leading technology projects to deliver against business requirements and leading change activities; both in planning and implementation phases.
