Data Manager

We're looking for an experienced Data Manager to lead on a data transformation project and the embedding of an improved data culture

You will be working for a charity whose mission is to end youth homelessness more effectively and efficiently.

Position: Data Manager

Salary: £50,000 per annum pro rata

Location: London with the option of remote working

Contract: 12 month fixed term contract

Hours: Part-time, 15-21.5hrs per week.

Closing Date: 5:00pm, 29th Sep 2021

About the role:

As Data Manager you will report to the Head of Comms & Engagement, the immediate priority for the role will be a programme to improve the use of Salesforce (ensuring it remains fit for purpose to deliver reporting and analysis).

Your role will combine assessing and advising on improvements to workflows, introducing and inspiring the take up of new data tools and resources thoughtfully and with appropriate training and support, and doing so at a pace that engenders excitement rather than terror.

You will be central to efforts to improve the use of data in our decision making – be that in the engagement with the property sector or with charity partners. Interpreting and communicating data and evidence in attractive and engaging ways will be important as will tailoring that information to a range of internal and external audiences.

About you:

You will be able to plan, prioritise and project manage effectively, knowing that your work serves the organisation as a whole and has to slipstream alongside a range of competing and pressing demands.

You will also need to have the following essential skills and experience:

 

  • Salesforce administrator/super user training
  • Excellent level of knowledge of a broad range of information technologies
  • Knowledge of techniques for effective project design and management
  • Knowledge of techniques for effective project design and management
  • Good level of knowledge of the GDPR principles concerning data processing and storage
  • Experience of managing, developing and improving a CRM system (ideally Salesforce) for an organization
  • Experiencing of improving data culture within an organisation
  • Experience of managing an agreed budget
