Programme Manager
We are looking for an experienced programme manager to lead programmes to implement nurturing education on a large scale.
The charity has been working with schools for many years, to improve the mental health and wellbeing of children and young people by removing barriers to learning by promoting nurture in education
Position: Programme Manager
Location: Flexible as homeworking supported - office working available in London or Paisley
Salary: £35 - £39k dependent on experience
Hours: Full-time
Duration: 3 year Fixed Term Contract
Benefits: 25 days’ annual leave plus bank holidays and 5% Employer pension contribution
Closing Date: 6th August

About the Role
As Programme Manager you will be responsible for leading one or more large-scale programmes to develop nurturing education, leading on programme management (including budget management and reporting), maintaining strong relationships with funders and contract managers, coordinating engagement with schools, coordinating a delivery team, and assessing the impact of managed programmes.
Your main duties will include:
- Programme management and budget management
- Coordinating engagement and delivery
- Leadership, people management and teamwork
- Assessing programme impact

About You
As Programme Manager you must be able to lead in a rapidly changing internal and external environment, you will have significant experience working in a management position in all or most of the areas of:
- Managing large-scale projects or programmes
- Working with schools or the education sector
- Line management and managing contractors
Essential skills include:
- Organised and reliable project manager, with the ability to structure a programme, plan delivery, and co-ordinate a team for high-quality service delivery
- Excellent communicator with the ability to simplify complex problems and develop workable solutions
- Proactive and innovative thinker with ability to develop ideas, set direction and then deliver
- Networking and relationship building experience
- Able to foster trust by delegating, empowering and coaching/mentoring as needed
- Forward thinking and passionate about delivering change
- Proficient information technology and communications skills to plan, organise and co-ordinate work
- Ability to manage tight deadlines and changing priorities
Ideally you will also have an appreciation and understanding of the impact of mental health, emotional and wellbeing upon children and young people.
