Project and Change Officer

The organisation is currently going through an exciting period of improvement and transformation with a number of large-scale change projects being delivered, which will result in new ways of working across the charity. The Business Strategy and Programme Team are supporting the organisation to deliver these projects and are looking for an experienced Project and Change Officer to join the team.

Position: Project and Change Officer

Location: Based in Sidmouth, Devon – “an area of outstanding natural beauty” This post is offered with home working with regular (weekly) visits to the main site at Sidmouth.

Hours: Full-time 35 hours per week, Monday – Friday 08.30 – 16.30

Salary: £33,500 per annum

Contract: Permanent

This increases by one day each year until a maximum of 34 days is reached.

The Role

As Project and Change Officer you will support all aspects of the successful delivery of the organisational transformational projects of change and you will also be wholly responsible for managing the delivery of specific, smaller-scale projects, working with and influencing key stakeholders to deliver the required change capability.

You will report to the Project and Change Manager or assignment lead to develop realistic and achievable implementation plans aligned to high-level project milestones.

Responsibilities include:

 

  • Identifying, capturing and maintaining risks to implementation and updating documentation
  • Provide advice and guidance on change management activities, tools and methodology to ensure successful delivery of project outcomes and embed sustainable, long-term change
  • Working with and building relationships with staff at all levels from across the charity, designing and facilitating workshops, delivering presentations and other key engagement events to ensure departments are fully engaged in the process and prepared to work in the new way

 

About You

The Project and Change Officer must have change management experience and/or experience of managing small-scale projects or improvements to enhance ways of working, with the ability to develop, deliver, monitor and evaluate project and change plans.

You will have:

 

  • Organisation and planning skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in addition to excellent IT skills (proficient in Microsoft Office software)
  • Time management skills with the ability to effectively manage own workload and determine priorities, ensuring delivery to agreed timelines

 

Please note that a full driver’s licence is essential for this role.
