Roche United Kingdom is looking for a highly motivated individual that can take up the role of People Relations Partner in the United Kingdom. Roche UK has two legal entities representing all of Roche’s divisions: Pharmaceuticals, Diagnostics and Diabetes Care. Our two legal entities together employ 2,700 people. Our ambition is to make Roche the preferred healthcare company for the patients in the United Kingdom by taking care and influencing the whole ecosystem that surrounds the patient.

Our PR Partners and PR Advisors create value through trusted partnership, by finding solutions that consider the experience of our employees and the interests of Roche. They coach and train leaders for proactive early interventions. They operate on a balanced, neutral perspective to support successful navigation through challenging moments which is contributing to the positive reputation of Roche. Through our network approach we manage local specifics and complexity by leveraging geographical proximity and cross-divisional capabilities. To ensure that we operate on a common foundation our networks navigate within three regions (APAC, EMEA, AMERICAS) to enable global alignment on our PR strategy and a OneRoche mindset. 

 

The PR Partner balances value creation and value protection activities, harnessing our license to operate responsibilities through our Creative Leadership mindset and ways of working. The PR Partner will be strategically focused and work in collaboration with P&C and business squads to cultivate cooperation based on mutual trust with a balanced, neutral perspective to support successful navigation through challenging moments which is contributing to the positive reputation of Roche. They contribute through a global lens and ensure a fair and consistent approach to all people practices and ways of working. The PR Partner quickly adapts and deals with emergent issues where needed as well as identifies long term opportunities to enhance the employee experience and positively impact moments that matter.

 

Who you are:

● Someone who demonstrates a passion for and focuses on building a diverse and inclusive work culture, fostering psychological safety and a strong sense of belonging 

● Someone with an enterprise mindset and system thinking, proven ability to work effectively across multiple business areas, global teams and key leadership areas in a fast paced VUCA environment

● Has the ability to leverage technology and data to generate insights as foundation for diagnosis, recommendations and decisions 

● Someone who has a passion and ability to leverage digital tools for collaboration, co-creation and sharing across the system 

● Has consultation and influencing skills with a diverse group of stakeholders across the business

● Has deep domain experience in the areas of employee relations and/or labour relations, good understanding of performance management on a global scale (preferred), expert negotiation skills that diffuse volatile situations and result in course correction of people relationships

Our UK Pharmaceutical head office is situated in Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire. Around 2,000 people work at our Welwyn office in Global Early Development (pRED), Global Product Development (PD), Commercial (Rx) and our Corporate functions.
