Sky News is looking for a first-class news producer to work at the heart of the country's most dynamic news organisation. We are looking for someone who has big ideas to develop our TV output and excels in a breaking news environment! You should be a highly motivated, creative journalist who has excellent news knowledge, clever story ideas and even smarter ways of telling them.

What you'll do:

- Work under guidance from Output Editors and Assistant Editors to produce engaging and up-to-the-minute TV news reports, sequences and features
- Write news scripts for presenters, put news packages together and cut video
- Commission and deliver creative visual graphic treatments
- Work with correspondents and presenters to structure news and guest segments
- Liaise with specialist journalists to produce effective mobile video content that supports the Sky News digital journalism strategy and be fully conversant with all of Sky's publishing platforms, understanding how to maximise each to showcase the best of our journalism
- Initiate innovative story treatments to develop our TV and mobile journalism whilst keeping up to date with current news issues, stories, and rival broadcasters


What you'll bring:

- A calm, detailed and methodical approach with impeccable attention to detail
- Good knowledge about how to deliver content on TV & mobile platforms and best practices in the industry
- A passion for UK and international news, ideally with experience working in a breaking news environment
- Knowledge of the news media and emerging digital technologies
- Video editing skills are crucial.
- Proven experience working in a quick-paced environment with tight deadlines

Our Osterley campus is a 10-minute walk from Syon Lane train station. Or you can hop on one of our free shuttle buses that run to and from Osterley, Chiswick Park, Gunnersbury, Acton Town and Ealing Broadway tube stations. There's also plenty of parking, bike shelters and showers.
