This role is an exciting opportunity to join us and work within our Sky Kids team.

You'll get the opportunity to work with the Sky Kids team at Sky Central. Sky Kids offers families 8 live kids' channels and over 5000 episodes of on demand viewing as well as the Sky Kids app, a safe space for younger kids focussed content, games and art tools.

Our programmes cover animation, drama, shorts and factual entertainment including our weekly news show "FYI: For Your Info" which goes out on Sky News. As well as working closely with our partner channels Nickelodeon and Cartoon Network.

What you'll do:

As a video Creative in the Sky Kids Team, you will be responsible for concepting and developing our short form video output for the Sky Kids YouTube channel. The ideal candidate will possess editing and delivery workflow knowledge.

  • Creating and maintaining an editorial calendar in conjunction with the Sky Kids Team and the Programme Strategy team to support the content priorities of our partner channels, acquisitions & Originals.
  • Editing video content from Sky Kids Originals and other material on occasion, creation of playlists and design of eye-catching thumbnails, writing Metadata and video copy
  • Responsible for completing material ID and rights checks
  • Responsible for inputting data, tagging and reviewing usage policies
  • Adhering to Child Safety protocols stipulated in Sky Child Protection guidelines
  • Keeping up to date with YouTube platform developments or trends
  • Driving assessment and iteration of creative against performance using analytics and reporting to Director of Sky Kids
  • Oversight of channel best-practice (copy, playlists, thumbnails etc.) and research into competitor performance

What you'll bring:

  • 5 years digital/social media marketing/content creation experience.
  • Experience within the Children's content field in this competitive space
  • Demonstrable use of Search Engine Optimisation to gain maximum optimisation of content
  • Experience of editing eye-catching content that will appeal to parents and their children
  • Experience of Photoshop and Premiere (experience of editing video and imagery)
  • Ability to form positive relationships with multiple internal and external partners
