I am looking for an enthusiastic and committed professional to work as part of the Elutec Academy team to deliver outstanding teaching and pastoral support to our students.

Working across KS4 and KS5, this is an opportunity for a hard-working professional to work with students who have are passionate about STEM subjects. You will be working in a supportive, nurturing culture that sets high expectations of educational outcome whilst supporting students to fulfil their academic potential and achieve their goals of a STEM destination.

We offer staff the opportunity to work full or part-time along with on-going opportunities to continue their professional development.

The Role:

The purpose of this role is to continue to engage and excite students in a practical approach to the engineering curriculum and achieve excellent outcomes for the students in their chosen STEM path. To teach Engineering at Level 2 and Level 3 to KS4 and KS5 students with an opportunity to deliver GCSE Design and Technology. To bring enthusiasm and engagement to STEM education, using their experience and expertise to show the importance and wider relevance of this area of study to our students. To work as part of a team to ensure high standards and raising standards for all students.

Responsibilities:

• To bring your passion for the STEM curriculum to your lessons and the department

• To work effectively in the department to ensure excellent outcomes for the students

• To be a teacher for KS4 and KS5 students with a detailed understanding of pedagogy

• To engage students with practical lessons when delivering the STEM curriculum

• To ensure effective delivery of the curriculum and awarding body syllabi at levels 2 and 3

• To use effective assessment for learning strategies

• To ensure all students have the tools and support to access the curriculum

• To have a positive impact on levels of student achievement using your knowledge of how students learn to affect your classroom practice

• Experience in Mechanical, manufacturing and/or Design Engineering
