Our IT team is made up of loads of different departments and we’re recruiting for both Test Analysts and Senior Test Analysts to join the business. Here are some of the departments that are recruiting.

Product Systems - You can't have Next without product, so we need Product Systems to deliver systems and apps that allow our product teams to design, plan and deliver exciting Next/Lipsy ranges of products to our customers via our extensive portfolio of stores and our outstanding website. Their focus = real time data through all our systems processes. This will mean that we can help the business get our new products and services a lot quicker to market and available to our customers. Product Systems are also on the journey from on premise to new exciting innovative solutions in the cloud.

eCommerce - Growing steadily over the past 10 years to become one of the largest online retail platforms in the UK. We currently sell to 70 International markets, offering our 6 million active customers a personalised shopping experience and the ability to purchase from a wide range of products using multiple delivery methods and payment types. eCommerce is the biggest department at Next based across multiple sites and countries, working across development, testing, support, architecture and more to keep ourselves ahead of the pack.

HR and Finance Systems - At the heart of Next this team keeps our a 2 billion pound platform modern, fit for purpose and secure! HR & Finance support all of head office, retail and our warehouses and need to implement critical legislative changes whilst adapting to the changing demands from customers ensuring they have the preferred payment method available such as ApplePay and GooglePay. This team plays an important part in helping the business grow in the UK and around, continually adding new payment types and countries in the fast moving world of payments which is driven by consumer demand around the world!

About the Roles

As a Test Analyst/ Senior Test Analyst you will:

- Interpret functional specifications, in order to produce test plans and strategies

- Interpret functional specifications of new features in order to produce test plans and evolve strategies whilst designing and developing manual and automated tests.

- Liaise with the development team and key business users in Agile development projects - attending scrum review meetings and develop targeting test plans and cases

- Design and develop both manual and automated tests, producing detailed test scripts

- Engage with development teams and key business users during the testing, providing updates and status reports and alerting potential issues

- Perform integration, performance and stress testing of client and server applications - including post-release checking where required

- Perform integration, performance and stress testing of third party software applications

- Work alongside other skilled Testers in the teams to provide ongoing process improvements and mentor other team members if in a Senior Test role

Criteria  

Essential

- Have a wealth of previous experience in both manual and automation testing

- Be able to evidence your experience of test planning, analysis and scripting

- Have extensive experience in converting user requirements into test plans and test cases

- Be experience in working with both waterfall and agile development methodologies

- Experience of working to tight deadlines and managing multiple priorities

- Be able to evidence your experience of using SQL for database interrogation

- Be able to demonstrate previous experience of Selinium Web driver for testing front end web applications

- Experience of mentoring and coaching junior team members (for Senior Analyst positions)

- Ability to prioritise for the Test Team Leader (for Senior Analyst positions)
