We are currently recruiting for an experienced School Cleaner to work in the Scarborough area on a part-time permanent contract with a guaranteed 15 hours a week within an Educational institution. As the Cleaner you will be responsible for creating a safe environment through exceptional hygiene in all areas requested to clean including essential touch point cleaning. Your working hours for this role would be 4.30 - 7.30pm Monday through till Friday and the role is required 52 weeks of the year.

The Job:

Daily cleaning of areas including classrooms, offices, staff rooms, corridor and stairs
Follow prescribed cleaning methods and schedules as instructed by the supervisor
Ensuring kitchen & bathroom areas are wiped down
Clean outside walkways and ensure clear of debris
Cleaning toilets and other sanitary areas
Follow all COVID procedures that are in place
Document any faults with equipment or maintenance issues
Deep Clean public areas and boarding houses when required
Adhering to Risk Assessments

Requirements:

School Cleaning experience is preferred
Ability to carry out manual handling tasks including heavy lifting
Able to provide multiple forms of ID for the purpose of background checks along with 2 references
Understanding of COSHH
DBS is advantageous but not essential as the checks will be done by the employee

Benefits - The role of cleaner is paying £8.72 per hour and would be ideal for someone looking for a part time position in the Scarborough area. You would also only be required to work Monday-Friday with hours only in the daytime. There is on-site parking, but the role is suitable for someone who would need to use public transport as its on a bus route. The school is also offering weekly lateral COVID Tests for all employees and full PPE.
