About Us
We are Regional Foster Families, an independent fostering agency committed to providing safe, high-quality foster care to children and young people who can no longer be with their families.
Our foster carers provide a stable, nurturing and stimulating environment where children and young people can thrive.
We’re currently looking for a Supervising Social Worker to join our Wales Regional Office, which covers Swansea, Cardiff and Carmarthen.
This is a part-time role which has the scope to grow, increase hours and become a full-time post in the near future.

This is the ideal role for an enthusiastic social worker to work in the fostering arena. As part of our team, you will be given opportunities to gain experience in all areas of fostering.
You will be joining a fantastic and supportive team and the right candidate will be key in the further growth and development of our agency.
Your Role
As a Supervising Social Worker, you will recruit and assess prospective foster carers across Swansea, Cardiff and Carmarthen. In this key role, you will:
- Present completed Form F assessments to our foster panel
- Support and supervise our approved foster parents
- Provide support for all members of our fostering households
- Carry out household reviews of our approved foster parents and present the reports to our fostering panel
- Facilitate foster parent support groups and training
- Manage children and young people’s fostering family placements
- Partake in the out of hours ‘on call’ system
- Work flexibly including evenings and weekend work, when required
- Contribute to the ongoing growth and development of the region
- Work closely with local authorities
About You
To be considered as a Supervising Social Worker, you will need:
- To be a fully qualified Social Worker with a current Care Council Wales registration
- Experience as a Supervising Social Worker
- A full, valid driving licence, access to your own vehicle and business use insurance cover
Knowledge of fostering legislation would be beneficial to your application.
