Hales Group are currently seeking two Community ETE Workers based in Suffolk.  We are working on behalf of our client who is a charity helping people facing severe disadvantage to find jobs, homes and the right support they need.  Our client helps their service users to become positive contributors to local communities and wider society, believing that everybody is capable of changing their lives. Both roles are immediately available and with contract delivery to be ongoing until 25th June 2021. 1 x Full-Time (35 hrs per week) Mon-Fri. To cover Ipswich and Bury St Edmunds (Suffolk) 1 x Part-Time (17.5 hrs per week) ideally to work across 2.5 days. Based in Lowestoft (Suffolk) only As a Community ETE Worker you will provide a high-level service to a caseload of vulnerable service users with multiple and complex barriers including housing issues, debt, long term unemployment and criminal records. There may be restrictions and limitations in place that you will be required to work around in order to be successful in this role. You will be responsible for undertaking individual assessments and delivering group work activities aimed at offenders across the region with an identified Education, Training or Employment need (ETE).   Key Deliverables Undertake individual assessments and identify specific client needs in order to develop individual plans and goals to enable individuals to progress towards their employment goal; signposting to relevant organisations to support progression. Deliver group Education, Training or Employment (ETE) activities aimed at offenders across the region with an identified ETE need. Develop and maintain a strong working relationship with colleagues and other relevant delivery services. Flexibility is paramount for this role so there may be occasions when this post will be required to assist with prison group work delivery across the region in instances of leave and sickness. Attend meetings as directed by the team manager including team meetings and relevant wider service meetings in order to network and promote the service to relevant partners. To maintain accurate and appropriate records of work done and outcomes achieved. To follow internal safeguarding processes and policies whilst also involving external organisations as relevant in order to protect the individual at risk. To contribute to the implementation of client policies and procedures. To carry out other similar tasks as directed by the manager. Experience/Knowledge/Skills Required Experience of working with vulnerable clients and ex-offenders with multiple needs, preferably those with an offending background to support in overcoming barriers. Experience of delivering training and participating in group work activity. Able to work unsupervised, making effective judgements about risk and safety as needed. Ability to keep up to date and accountable records, meeting deadlines as required. Ability to give appropriate advice & guidance – making rational judgments from the available information and analysis. Strong IT skills including proven experience of using Word, Excel and Outlook in a similar work environment.  Ability to work with case database on a day-to-day basis. Awareness of and commitment to safeguarding practices and policies, and ability to promote safeguarding among vulnerable clients and colleagues. Access to own transport would be beneficial.
