We operate the world’s largest infrastructure asset manager. We are seeking a dynamic and commercially minded technologist to join its Technology & Innovation team.

You will identify and help implement digitalisation initiatives globally within our portfolio of infrastructure companies – which span the energy, transportation, water, data, telecoms, agricultural and real estate sectors, amongst others.

Your key responsibilities will span across all asset classes and will include:

  • Identifying, analysing and supporting implementation of digital technology initiatives with clear commercial benefits.
  • Working collaboratively with senior leadership and facilitate working groups across a portfolio of asset companies to share best practices and learnings, jointly assess technologies and vendors, optimise technology costs, benchmark performance and provide thought leadership.
  • Providing support to transaction teams by providing technical insight during due diligence and identifying upside potential of existing assets.
  • Publishing regular reports on relevant emerging technologies and their impact on Macquarie’s investments.

You will be a highly skilled technologist with a background designing, building and implementing digital technologies and digital transformations, including Big Data / Internet of Things, Machine Learning, Robotic Process Automation, Cloud and Data Centre, and Digital Twins.

You will demonstrate an ability to introduce new disruptive technologies into an organisation and guide to implementation. A continuous, lifelong learner you are proactive about staying on top of recent trends in technology.

Working at Macquarie

We believe in providing a positive environment for all our staff that is innovative and inspiring. For our female staff, Macquarie’s senior leaders are actively involved in increasing the representation of females in management positions.  In June 2014, we launched a mentoring programme for females, with the following two objectives:

  • Address female retention rates at Senior Manager level and improve our diverse pipeline of talent;
  • Engage female Senior Managers by providing tools and support around their personal development;

The programme pairs up Senior Managers with Directors, who meet on a monthly basis, and are supported by active group sessions (bi-monthly) with an external facilitator.

We select some of the brightest minds to help us in solving complex challenges for our clients.  We recognise that recruiting talent from varied backgrounds is essential to improving our understanding of the marketplace, and enhancing creativity and problem-solving capabilities in our businesses.

Because of this, our commitment to you is to create a diverse and inclusive workplace regardless of age, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, ethnicity or cultural background.

We make this commitment not only because it is the right thing to do but it opens up a world of opportunity, securing the future of our people, our success and our business
