Location: Head office, Stratford or Beaulieu Park, Chelmsford, Essex, with a requirement to visit site. (Due to COVID the majority of L&Q are currently working from home)

As a result of strong growth within L&Q’s Counties Region we currently have a vacancy for a Technical Manager to be based in our Beaulieu Park site office near Chelmsford, Essex.

We are seeking an individual who is organised, driven and enthusiastic and who is passionate about improving standards, quality of service and is committed to continuing personal and professional development.

Reporting to the Senior Technical Manager you will coordinate the technical design for the activities of new build projects from planning through to completion.

You will lead day-to-day design activities to achieve the L&Q business strategy, ensuring a focussed approach to establish excellence in quality and customer satisfaction.

This position requires a manager, who is delivery and action focussed, can identify risks and deliver effective solutions with minimal supervision to ensure delivery on-time in a fast-paced and demanding environment.

You will deliver results through your experience, effective time-management and progress your projects against plan, finding contingencies and solutions to avoid any slippage to the achievement of the result.  Your ability to understand projects rapidly taking into account the financial and commercial context will be a pre-requisite. 

It is essential that you have previous experience working for a contractor or developer in the residential sector and can demonstrate a proven track record in a similar role.

A good knowledge of the Planning Process, Building Regulations, NHBC Standards and a technical understanding of the main consultants’ disciplines is essential.
