We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic CCAB qualified accountant for L&Q’s Care and Support business. The division has annual revenues of £43m and manages a portfolio of 6,000 supported housing properties. Reporting to a Finance Manager, you will have responsibility for provision of a full management accounting service for the department including detailed accounts production with commentary, budgeting and forecasting, business planning and year end audit.

A critical part of your role will be to act as a primary Business Partner, collaborating and building relationships with senior staff including directors. You will be expected to become a specialist in your area, assisting the department head and other stakeholders including the Board in making strategic decisions for the business.

To take advantage of this opportunity you need to be a dynamic, self-motivated individual who is interested in a career in finance and can meet the following criteria:

  • Be a qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA, ACA)
  • Experience of management or financial accounting in a corporate entity or, alternatively, an audit background
  • Have excellent technical accounting knowledge
  • Be an excellent communicator and team player with the ability to influence people at senior levels
  • Have a collaborative and flexible attitude
  • Be able to work to tight deadlines
  • Have excellent Excel, financial systems and analytical skills
