Salary: £30,131 to £37,249 (Depending on skills and experience)

Job description

We are looking for a Delivery Manager to join our Digital Services team at the Department for Transport (DfT). You will be accountable for the performance of agile delivery teams and the distribution of products and services that meet the needs of DfT and external users. Working as part of the Digital Services team, you will have the chance to create positive working relationships across the whole of DfT.

Role responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Supporting the building and maintenance of multi-disciplinary teams.
• Supporting team members, facilitating continuous improvement and applying the most appropriate Agile and lean tools/techniques to product delivery.
• Planning and communicating with stakeholders, allocating resources and visualising progress towards agreed goals.
• Managing risks, budgets and people.
• Managing dependencies, overcoming obstacles and working efficiently towards deadlines.

Responsibilities

About you 

We are looking for a motivated, organised and flexible individual with the ability to drive the delivery of projects, products and services within DfT. You will be a strong communicator, possessing the ability to liaise and build relationships with a variety of technical and non-technical stakeholders. You will have excellent interpersonal skills with experience of working with staff at all levels. Experience of working with Agile methodologies alongside first class problem solving skills will also be sought after for this role.

Sift & Interview Dates

The sift is due to take place week commencing 12/10/20.

Interviews/assessments are likely to be held week commencing 26/10/20.

This interview could be conducted via a video interview, details of which will be provided to you should you be selected for interview.

If successful and transferring from another Government Department a security check may be carried out.

The selection process will be designed specifically for the role. As a result, your assessment could include:

•A full day of activities including interactive, written and timed exercises
