Role

Are you an experienced Technical Support professional looking for a Site Set-up & Support Engineer role? Do you have the drive and experience to help L&Q with its plans to invest, grow and transform its business to provide a better service to customers old and new.

We are looking for an experienced Site Set-up & Support Engineer to be responsible for assisting in the setting up, decommissioning, and supporting of IT at L&Q locations. This may include travelling to new construction sites, care homes and other L&Q office locations within South-East England. This role will also play a critical part in the growth strategy of L&Q. 

Reporting into the Site Set-up & Support Team Lead the Site Set-up & Support Engineer will be specifically aligned to the Service Delivery function, who’s focus it is to provide exceptional service to all customers, internal and external within the business.  

The Site Setup & Support Engineer will:

  • Assist in the realisation of L&Qs business goals and ambitions through the setting-up, decommissioning, and supporting of IT at L&Q sites.
  • Assist in the process of resolving incidents and Service Requests, in a fast-paced, ITIL compliant organisation.
  • Offer subject matter expertise where appropriate
  • Promote a DevOps Culture, including immediacy, teamwork, and the creation of business value in day-to-day work.  

Skills and Experience:

  • ITIL Foundation-level knowledge
  • Technically strong with hands on capability
  • Solid communication and diplomacy skills with a strong ability to persuade and influence
  • Experienced working with, troubleshooting and improving Windows Server technologies, Windows 10 and Office 365
  • Understanding of telephony, including mobile devices and soft telephony (VOIP)
  • Basic understanding of Wi-Fi and networking
  • Strong documentation skills with high level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Demonstrable understanding of acceptance testing and effective gatekeeping to defined standards for service management
  • Able to communicate in a consultative manner with some influencing skills
