Job Description Summary

The Senior Manager, will be one of a number of senior managers responsible for delivery of the Group's Inclusion and Diversity strategic programmes, and for ensuring that activity is fully embedded across the organisation, with appropriate measurement and assurance in place.

Using your previous experience and knowledge of Inclusion & Diversity topics, you'll ensure the business areas are equipped to be able to meet the requirements of The Group's strategy. Demonstrating how you have embedded these within an organisation using your expert knowledge and understanding of the strands of Diversity is essential.

Role Description:

  • Provide excellent programme management of core Group Inclusion and Diversity programmes, delivering outcomes which achieve Group, divisional and colleague goals within time and budget parameters.
  • Produce high quality communications/reporting on programmes, suitable for Group Executive Committee and the Inclusion & Diversity Forum.
  • Develop and manage an approach to positively engaging colleagues and senior leadership teams with the Group's principles of Inclusion.
  • Lead and manage the alignment of key programmes to Strategic Workforce Planning, Organisational design and other key people and cost processes.
  • Lead and manage the identification and collation of horizon scanning to continually inform best practise and future opportunities.
  • Regularly review data and insight from a range of internal and external sources, combining insights in new ways to generate innovative solutions to key Inclusion & Diversity challenges.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with key functions including People and Productivity, Digital Workplace and Future of Work Location Strategy and others to ensure an aligned approach to doing business inclusively.
  • Manage, motivate and develop colleagues to contribute to building a high-performing team.
  • Manage risks within own portfolio of work and support the business by helping to identify and mitigate risk across portfolio of activity owned outside the central team.
  • Provide expert business partnering and consultancy to divisions and functions to influence alignment and commitment to the Group's strategy, tailored as appropriate to local requirements.
  • Build an external network and profile which enables insight, industry best practice and innovation to be sourced, and for the Group's reputation as a leader in Inclusion & Diversity to be maintained.

 

About you:

 

You will have the knowledge of and ability to effectively navigate Group-level governance structures, principles and processes.

Once on board, knowledge of the Group's core business areas and commercial priorities will be important and you will need to develop an internal network in order to implement change.

You'll need to translate insights from raw data into proof points for a strategic narrative and appropriate measures of progress.

Business partnering is key along with the ability to consult with and guide a division in the implementation of central strategy.
