What will the role entail?

You be part of a team that is leading on the installation, configuration and maintenance of Lync, Teams, Audio/Video Conferencing and Broadcast services in line with our standards and policies to agreed service levels. You will also help in the enablement of Interoperability solutions between Cisco and Microsoft Audio/Video conferencing system and also between MS Lync and Teams.

You'll provide ongoing technical support (including incident and problem resolution) for systems and processes in the Office 365 tenant. Part of the role will also be to provide technical and procedural advice to business customers on how to get the best from our new product set.

We get involved in project work and you'd carry out technical activities to support project delivery, service improvements and change related to ongoing maintenance of the platforms.

It'll be a hands-on role - working hand in glove with many different teams and suppliers including security and networks colleagues plus others you'll need to craft the relationships with in order to enable an end-to-end service.

So what are we looking for in you?
We like to see people who come from diverse industry backgrounds but need to see the following knowledge & technical skills:

  • Subject matter expertise in Lync/Teams and associated technologies and services surrounding audio/video/broadcast services.
  • A good level of understanding of how interoperability solutions between Lync->Teams work and how Cisco and Microsoft audio/video solutions can work together.
  • A good level of understanding O365 tenants and products are managed. Knowledge of data infrastructure and data security.
  • Good working knowledge of the technical operational processes used to deploy and change the technical infrastructure. The ability to resolve service issues and identify their root causes.

In terms of non-technical skills you will need to have good interpersonal and communication skills plus we like to see a collaborative approach to work, while being able to also independently if required.
