We're looking for a Recruitment Administrator to join the talented Recruitment team at our Swindon Head Office.

Reporting into the Group Recruitment Manager, the successful applicant will be a confident and motivated Recruitment Administrator capable of managing varying work streams working 20-25 hours per week on a permanent basis.

What you'll do


As the Recruitment Administrator you'll get exposure across both our store management, new store opening and head office recruitment lifecycle. You'll support our Recruitment Advisors with a wide range of recruitment administration tasks for the new starters joining the WHSmith business. You will take control of the new starter compliance process, including generating contracts and distribution of offer packs to new starters, management of the referencing and medical questionnaire process.

You'll also set up the new starters into the business with employee files and ensure all new starters are transferred in accordance with payroll deadlines onto the payroll system.As well as the day to day support already mentioned you'll support the team with the management of our shared inboxes - one for general recruitment enquiries the other for our Recruitment System - which does include technical queries.

You'll support the routine monthly and quarterly data reporting process, conduct basic functionality changes within the recruitment system and provide ad hoc administration support to the recruitment advisors and L&D team where required.

Who we're looking for

You'll ideally have some recruitment or HR administration experience, or at least an interest and intrigue into recruitment which you want to explore further. You will need to be naturally proactive, able to work at pace and be highly organised to manage a variety of work streams on time and to deadlines.Previous administration experience and strong PC skills area must, with excellent written and oral communication with a highly focused and uncompromising eye for detail. Finally you will need to be driven, ambitious and hungry to deliver the best possible service to the variety of stakeholders and new starters to WHSmith; ensuring all receive an excellent first touch point into the business.If you want a position with autonomy and a job where no week is ever the same then WHSmith could be for you.
