We are looking for Support Workers to support young man in Walton on the Naze to cover various shifts from full time, part time and relief to suit you. We offer fantastic benefits, training and a great team environment.

We are looking to recruit Support Workers who share our values and can support someone to have the life they want to live. The Dimensions team supports one young man in Walton On The Naze in his own home. He attends weekly activities and likes being out in the community playing bowling, crazy golf etc.

He also enjoys relaxing at home watching tv, listening to music, cooking and baking. He interacts well with his staff and likes to be around people who are energetic and playful. He enjoys being around people who have a good sense of humour and who are confident. This young man can at times present with behaviours that challenge and has complex needs. You will be provided with full mandatory training plus service specific training around the behaviour.

There's a separate bedroom for Support Workers who are required to stay overnight. You'll be part of a team that works flexibly on a rota, this includes working some weekends and some bank holidays. From 7.00an-19.00hrs you will be working on a ratio of 2:1 (2 members of staff with the person we support) 19.00hrs-22.00hrs are 1:1, 1 member of staff with the person we support then awake nights will be working alone with the person we support from 22.00hrs-07.00am. The service offers its own local on call as well as Dimensions regional on call.

At present our working hours with this young man are -

7am-13.00hrs then 13.00hrs– 22.00hrs, we do sometimes offer shifts at 7am-22.00hrs. Awake nights are 22.00hrs-07.00am.

Driver is not esstential but desired for this positions or willing to learn to drive. This is due to the young man having his own car and an active life style.

The location is easily accessible by public transport and has parking available for those who do not drive.
