Lecturer - Dance (Ballet, Jazz and Tap) Post Number: SGS542 WISE Campus Salary Range: £23,448.00 - £26,925.00 pro rata per annum ( Salary is dependent on level of qualification and experience) Contract Type: Permanent and Part-time Hours: 18.5 hours per week South Gloucestershire & Stroud College has an excellent reputation for delivering further education and work-based programmes in a range of subjects - from business to sport, engineering to media, GCSE's and A Levels to degree level courses. We are currently working hard to achieve "Outstanding" status after being classified as "Good" in our first inspection. SGS College has a highly successful Performing and Media Arts department at our Wise campus which receive a Grade 1 at our last Ofsted inspection. The department has a staff of 30 and 500 students on FE and Degree courses. We are looking to appoint a dynamic teacher to join the Performing Arts team delivering Technique and Repertoire in Ballet, Jazz and Tap on the Dance and Musical theatre courses. These courses are highly successful course offering training in technique and performance skills. Many of our students progress onto dance/drama schools or continue onto our on BA (hons) Musical theatre degree or FdA Dance degree. The department has excellent facilities including a 250 seat theatre, 80 seat studio theatre, tech theatre workshop,4 dance studios, 5 drama studios and full technical facilities and support.
