Do you have a clear commitment to excellence and want to inspire others? If so, we are looking for you to join our Further Education teaching team! We are seeking a talented individual with the relevant working knowledge of the Sport Industry to provide instruction and lecturing to our students.
You will be required to teach all aspects of sport science, including, nutrition, psychology, anatomy and physiology as well as other related topics to Further Education students on full-time, part-time and short courses, through lectures and practical sessions. You will also contribute to the management, assessment and recruitment of students as well as have input into curriculum development. From time-to-time, you will visit students in the workplace and support the students’ progress by working closely with employers.
To succeed, you will have a desire to educate and develop a range of learners at Level 2 and 3, along with up-to-date technical knowledge to allow the sharing of best practice to both students and team members. Ideally, you will hold, or be working towards, the completion of your teaching qualification. It is essential that you are willing to work towards the assessor and internal verifier qualifications as these will be a requirement upon appointment. Additional qualifications, such as a Level 2 gym instructor and a relevant, up-to-date first aid certificate would also be desirable.
