I have just been contacted by an FE college who are looking for a permanent part time Lecturer/Course Leader for their Health and Social Care course

They are looking for someone to join their team as a Lecturer in Health and Social Care.

You will be a committed tutor with the ability to collaborate with a strong and supportive team of colleagues. You will have knowledge and the experience to teach, assess, co-ordinate and assist in managing the Health & Social Care courses from Level 1 up to Level 5, hold a Certificate in Education/PGCE and a related qualification at degree level.

The duties and responsibilities for the role include:

- To deliver teaching programmes to students.

- To ensure that the programmes of study comply with current validation and exam board requirements, and to keep all teaching staff across the provision abreast of any changes to these.

- To assess and/or verify students work either on site or at work placement, as part of the contract of employment

- To comply with College recording and course related administrative requirements, including the keeping of records of work, schemes of work, lesson plans, assessment schedules, registers, student details etc.

- To ensure that Student Services are given regular updates about Course timetables, registers and alterations to Course specifications.

The role includes planning and curriculum development, in liaison with the University they are affiliated with. This role also requires pastoral and tutorial responsibilities in addition, to visiting work place settings and liaising with employers and student mentors.

By taking on this role you will be required to teach, co-ordinate with the Programme director. You will be required to assess and maintain Quality Assurance procedures.

Salary Band: £31,604 - £32,736

Full time – 37 hours per week

48 days holiday (incl Bank Holidays)
