Children's Nurse for Home Nursing Service - Part-time, fixed-term for12 months
A part-time vacancy has arisen within our service for an experienced children's nurse looking to extend their skills in the community setting. This role offers a valuable opportunity to be part of our Children's Home Nursing Team based at the Royal Alexandra Children Hospital, Brighton which was rated as outstanding by the CQC.
This is a 25.5 hours per weekfixed-term post for 12 months.
Our service providesnursing care to children and young people in their home or community setting. The caseload includes those with long termhealth care needsincluding oxygen therapy, stoma care and those who are technology dependant. The team also supports children with more acute care needs including administration of intravenous antibiotics, wound management andenteral feeding whichenables early discharge from Hospital.
We are seeking an individual who is enthusiastic and committed to work as part of our team.
The successful applicant will be a Registered Children's Nurse and possess a recognised teaching course. They also will need to have recent acute paediatric experience.
The post holder will provide a holistic approach toassessing, planning and implementingcare and be able to demonstrate a wide range of clinical skills and experience as an independent and confident practitioner. Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people is essential as well as the ability to prioritise own workload and work independently.
The successful candidate will benefit from on-going professional developmentand support.
This post will predominantly involve working over3 days per week(25.5hrs) with some weekend cover on a rotational basis.
Full UK driving licence and access to a car is essential.
