Part-Time IAPT Counsellor ** ( **Fixed term for one year, with possible extension)**

NJC Scale Point 29, £32,029 (pro-rata)

**Hours of Work**
23 per week (worked over 3 days), worked as follows:
* Monday - 9.00 am to 5.00 pm
* Tuesday - 11.00 am to 7.30 pm
* Wednesday - 9.00 am to 5.00 pm
**Introduction**
Employed by Notts SVS Services, this is an exciting opportunity to provide short term, focussed counselling therapy interventions to survivors of sexual violence, aged 18+, as referred by Insight Healthcare
**Job Purpose**
To provide face to face counselling and participate in the provision of the counselling service
**Responsibilities**
* Provide short term focused counselling therapy interventions (6-8 sessions) to survivors of sexual violence aged 18+ as referred by Insight Healthcare;
* Ensure timely processing of all incoming referrals from Insight Healthcare in order to meet key performance indicators with regard to waiting times for 1st counselling appointment
* To be responsible for the day to day running of the IAPT counselling service and to liaise with Insight Healthcare and NSVSS management in this regard
* To be responsible for the monitoring and evaluation of the IAPT counselling service, including accurate data entry onto database systems
* Conduct risk and needs assessments and formulate risk management plans using NSVSSs Risk Management Policies & Procedures
**Essential Experience, Qualifications and Skills**
* Degree in counselling (Humanistic/Integrative), with extensive post-qualification experience
* BACP or UKCP Accreditation
* Experience of working for IAPT
* An awareness and understanding of sexual violence and its impact
* Experience of working with trauma and PTSD, depression and anxiety
* Experience of dealing with difficult situations and working autonomously and using own initiative
* Able to produce statistical, monitoring and evaluation information and accurately input into a database system
