Job Description
Scope of Role:
An opportunity to work within an industry leading insurance debt collection agency and be part of adynamic, growing business.
Purpose of the Role:
To interact with customers on the telephone using negotiation skills to collect payment against
outstanding debt balances. Ensuring that customers are treated fairly at all times, adhering to the
Financial Conduct Authority guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
90% of the day will be making and receiving telephone calls from customers
Ability to solve issues and deal with customers who may be experiencing financial difficulties
Taking ownership and using your empowerment to resolve customer queries
Where necessary undertake affordability assessments with customers
Negotiate payment arrangements by taking into account the customers’ circumstances
Accurately maintaining and updating customer records
Training will be given to support the role. You must be able to demonstrate a positive phone manner and pro-active approach.
Experience/Skills:
Previously worked in a call centre environment, ideally in either Collections or Sales
Good understanding of FCA regulations
Proactive, confident phone manner
Ability to work individually and as part of a team
Ability to remain calm when under pressure
Ability to communicate professionally with customers and colleagues
Shift pattern:
Between 10:00 to 14:00 plus 1 Saturday 09:00 to 12:00 every 4 weeks
Minimum of 15 hours per week
