Platforms like Koru Kids might offer flexible childcare options, but how workable are they? We start the episode discussing the pros and cons of using alternative childcare options, from ensuring they work outside wealthy areas to whether they provide continuity to children and how they’ll adapt to that.
We then chat about fake flexibility at work after having children. While there is often the option to reduce the number of working days, the amount of work you do might not reflect that, so we explore why this is and what companies can do to improve this structure.
And finally, every parent is excruciatingly familiar with sleep deprivation. But how does this impact you moving forward? Do you ever get used to it? And how does it affect your work life? We look at lack of sleep later in their parenting and why this might be.
